Ken Ungar is the president and founder of CHARGE, LLC, a sports and entertainment marketing agency that offers client-tailored services including branding, consulting, marketing, public relations, digital, events, merchandising and strategic planning.

Ungar has worked as a marketer, league representative, event promoter and business leader at the highest levels of professional sports, including baseball, basketball, football and motorsports. He is an attorney and a member of the American Marketing Association, the Public Relations Society of America and the Sports Lawyers Association.

His experience in sports business, personal branding, media training, sponsorships and endorsements as well as agents and legal issues led him to author “Ahead of the Game: What Every Athlete Needs to Know About Sports Business.” Ungar also teaches these important concepts to athletes and teams at sports business seminars across the country.

Ungar has worked with marquis brands on sports sponsorships and endorsements, including Bombardier Aerospace, Bridgestone-Firestone, Coca-Cola, Disney, General Motors, Honda, Jim Beam, Microsoft, Nissan, Pepsi, Pioneer, Reebok, Tag-Heuer, Toyota, and more.

Ungar’s media interviews have been carried by numerous shows and outlets, including ABC News, Advertising Age, Associated Press, Chicago Tribune, CNBC, CNN Money, ESPN, Forbes, Fox Business, Fox News, “Good Morning America,” Los Angeles Times, Marketing Daily, New York Times, SportsBusiness Journal, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Washington Post and “World News Tonight.”

In 2011, Ungar was one of the founders of Sports Circle Indy, a sports business networking organization based in Indianapolis, where he currently serves as president.

Before entering sports, Ungar achieved success in other business arenas. He began his professional career as a practicing attorney where he directed legal matters and handled litigation for corporate clients. Ungar then moved to public service, where he served for four years as deputy chief of staff and executive assistant for government operations for Indiana Governor Evan Bayh.

Ungar is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and business administration. He went on to graduate from Columbia University with a law degree.

Teri Toler is the vice president of administration for CHARGE, LLC and is responsible human resources, office management and the merchandise program.

Toler has more than 25 years of experience in the sports industry and worked in executive administrative roles for leading sports organizations, including the 500 Festival Committee, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indy Racing League.

She resides in Westfield, Indiana, with her husband, Jeff, and four children.

As vice president of strategy and planning, Ronda Hite oversees strategic initiatives, contract compliance and financial management, including 401k, for CHARGE, LLC, while also representing the agency within key industry and community organizations.

Hite previously served as chief financial officer for iHoops, the official youth basketball organization of the NCAA and NBA. Before entering the world of sports, Hite was CFO of the North American Utilities Sector for Vertex Outsourcing, LLC, a customer management outsourcing company providing business process outsourcing services for the public utility and energy services industry worldwide.

Originally from North Carolina, Hite graduated from Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She currently serves as a board member for the Indiana Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America and as treasurer for Sports Circle Indy.

As the director of sales and marketing for CHARGE, LLC, Chris Myers serves as a senior marketing representative, providing consulting, marketing, business development and sponsorship services for the Company and its clients, including Honda, NASCAR, St. Vincent Sports Performance and Capital Sports Advisors.

Prior to CHARGE, Myers worked for the Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl for eight years, serving as the corporate partnerships manager.

Myers assisted and developed a national, regional and local sponsorship program for the Fiesta Bowl, resulting in revenue growth. He also was responsible for sales and service of new and existing bowl sponsors, customers and vendors.

Myers graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in sports communication. He lives in Carmel with his wife, Megan, and their dog, Webb.

As head of the CHARGE, LLC branding and content team, Jesse Ghiorzi discovers, defines and develops brands and positioning strategies for individuals and organizations.

Ghiorzi, who also specializes in media relations and content development, works on branding and strategy for all CHARGE clients.

Before joining CHARGE, Ghiorzi directed public relations, social media and ticket sales at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. He got his start in sports with the Texas Tornado, a junior hockey (NAHL) team, before a stint at the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Born and raised in New York, Ghiorzi graduated from Miami University. He lives in Bates-Hendricks with his wife, Chelsi, a psychologist, and two dogs with sports-themed names.

Rebekah Meyer

As the senior manager of content marketing for CHARGE, Rebekah Meyer leads the content marketing team, providing consulting internally and externally on areas such as content creation, SEO and content strategy.

Meyer previously worked for Interactive Intelligence as the manager of content strategy, where she guided all content marketing, created an in-depth B2B generation library, coordinated SEO strategy, and managed the use of content marketing across web, email, print events and ads. Before coming to Indianapolis, she worked at an SEO agency and in the newspaper business. Meyer got her start in sports as an intern with the United States Olympic Committee, working as a media intern with U.S. Figure Skating.

Meyer graduated from Ball State University with a degree in journalism.

As the manager of marketing and events, Kyle Richert is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of events and marketing initiatives for CHARGE, LLC clients including Honda. Richert is also the day-to-day liaison for client experiential marketing campaigns.

Before joining CHARGE, Richert served as an account executive for Green Savoree Racing Promotions, responsible for corporate sales and partnership management. In this role, he managed partner entitlements and at-track activation packages for Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and The Mid-Ohio School.

Originally from Mount Vernon, Ohio, he fell in love with motorsports at a young age and raced in amateur motocross. Richert chose to turn that passion into a career and earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Ohio University.

As a kid, I wanted to be a meteorologist. I ended up marrying one.

Specializing in public and media relations, Lucas Wiseman is the manager of public relations for CHARGE, LLC.

Before joining Charge, Wiseman spent 12 years as public relations and social media manager for the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), the governing body for the sport of bowling.

During his tenure at USBC, Wiseman helped garner national, international and local media attention for bowling and covered events around the world. In 2015, he helped re-launch the Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour, with 10 events, including three nationally televised majors.

Prior to joining USBC, Wiseman worked at several newspapers serving as a sports writer, editor and designer. In 2001, Wiseman founded and later sold SportsJournalists.com, which was named one of the best non-corporate websites of the year in 2006 and 2007 by Sports Illustrated.

Born and raised in Florida, Wiseman attended the University of South Florida. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Danielle.

With a focus on content and event marketing, Kyle Teague is the marketing specialist for CHARGE, LLC. In addition, Teague supports CHARGE’s diverse client list with skills in content management software, customer relation management, social media and data analysis.

Before joining the company full time, Teague served as the agency’s marketing intern, working on CHARGE’s largest accounts, including Honda, NASCAR and St. Vincent Sports Performance.

Teague graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor of science degree in sport administration and a minor in business.

Ryan Gazdacka is the brand coordinator for CHARGE, LLC. In his role, he assists brand development by defining and growing athlete brands, as well as handling media pitches and social media strategy for CHARGE clients.

Prior to joining CHARGE, Gazdacka spent two years working as a collegiate scout, helping high school student-athletes through the recruiting and scholarship process.

Gazdacka has completed internships with the Comcast SportsNet Chicago, the Indianapolis Colts and the Augusta GreenJackets, the Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.

Originally from Lake Zurich, Illinois, Gazdacka graduated from Indiana University with a degree in sports marketing and management, a minor in business and a certificate in journalism.

Prior to joining CHARGE full time, Johnson worked in the agency’s intern program as the content development intern.

Originally from East Moline, Illinois, Johnson graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in media communication. He worked for the university’s television station for two years and also played tennis during his time at IWU.

As the event coordinator for CHARGE, LLC, Kyle Ginty is responsible for the planning, coordinating and execution of experiential marketing programs for the company and its clients, including American Honda.

Before joining CHARGE, Ginty worked for MainGate Inc., where he was the sales coordinator. During his time with MainGate, Ginty coordinated giveaways and promotional items for the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever and NHRA.

Ginty graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in sports communication.
