Brackets For Good Retains CHARGE to Build Network of Social Influencers

INDIANAPOLIS – Brackets For Good, a charitable organization that helps build awareness, raise funds, and expand marketing capabilities for local nonprofits through competitive, online fundraising tournaments, has retained CHARGE to develop a nationwide network of social influencers for its 2017 campaign.

CHARGE, a national sports and entertainment marketing agency based in Indianapolis, will research and recruit athlete and celebrity influencers to help raise awareness for Brackets For Good in 11 markets for its national tournament. CHARGE will also provide content strategy on social media for influencers.

Brackets For Good will utilize influencers to spread awareness for its twelve tournaments – 11 regional and one nationwide bracket. CHARGE will recruit these “Brackets For Good All-Stars” in Ann Arbor, Mich., Baltimore, Cincinnati, Denver, Hartford, Conn., Indianapolis, Louisville, Miami, St. Louis, Nashville and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

“Brackets for Good has expanded impressively from one tournament to 12 in just a few years,” CHARGE President Ken Ungar said. “We’re big fans of the way they took an idea from sports and used it to help hundreds of charities and thousands of people. Our team is thrilled to help Brackets for Good continue to go forward.”

Every March, Brackets For Good hosts a single-elimination, bracket-style fundraising tournament in multiple cities across the country that brings awareness and resources to nonprofit organizations of all sizes in each community.

“Brackets For Good uses the power of sport to help people discover and support charities that align with their values,” said Reid McDowell, Partnerships & Marketing Director of Brackets For Good. “CHARGE’s expertise and relationships helps us further leverage the power of sport to generate additional buzz surrounding the 2017 Brackets For Good tournaments. We’re incredibly excited about the GOOD we’ll do with CHARGE on our team.”
